RGN Freedom! Cup teams finalised

All 16 teams are now known for RGN and Freedom.tm's $5,000 online tournament titled the Freedom! Cup.

The RGN Freedom! Cup, a joint venture between RGN and Youtube network Freedom.tm (hence the name of the tournament), promised a $5,000 online tournament to 16 teams in North America.

Twelve teams received direct invites while four teams were to advance via online qualifiers which concluded on August 31.

With the qualifiers having run to a close, all 16 teams are now known for the Freedom! Cup:

The prize-pool distribution for the Freedom! Cup has been announced as well, and is as follows:

1. $3,500
2. $1,000
3. $500

The RGN Freedom! Cup will kick off in mid-September and with a similar format to the Pro Series; more information about the tournament is forthcoming.

In light of the increasing proliferation of events, RGN have stressed that the Freedom! Cup's schedule is flexible and the organisation will be working with teams to best schedule matches ahead of time.
